FAQ

1. No law requires you to get more than one estimate
2. you are not obligated to use any particular body shop. you choose the shop and authorize the repairs!
3. The shops offer the warranty on repairs, not the insurance company.

4. There is a big difference between shops. Any shop can give you a lower estimate by leaving something out or overlooking parts. Do not assume you can get the quality of workmanship you want from the shop offering the lowest estimate.

Do I have to pay my deductible?

Yes. The deductible is your responsibility to pay. Occasionally shops are asked to waive or lower the deductible. That is insurance fraud and illegal. We expect the deductible at the time you pick up your vehicle. If coming up with your deductible is a concern we will consider other payment arrangements on a case by case basis.

How long will it take to repair my vehicle?

The repair time depends on the extent of the damage. Once our team of experts inspects the damage they will give you an expected delivery date. Our Customer Service Representative will update you throughout the repair process as frequently as you request to be updated. Should there be a change in the delivery date you will be contacted.

What kind of parts will be used on my car?

Three types of parts may be used during the repair process:

  • 1. Original Equipment Manufacturer(O.E.M.) – Brand New
  • 2. Like Kind and Quality (L.K.Q.) – Used
  • 3. Aftermarket – Non-O.E.M.-Certified Replacement

The type of part used is determined by the customer and their insurance company. Many insurance policies specify how collision repairs are handled. We will work with the insurance company on the customer’s behalf to restore the car to the customer’s satisfaction. Hunter Auto body Centers offer a lifetime guarantee on the repairs. Therefore, we will only utilize parts that we feel confident will restore your vehicle to per-accident condition for the life of your vehicle.

Will the paint color you use match my vehicle?

Yes. Our experienced paint professionals can duplicate the finish on your vehicle. We use a computerized color retrieval system to create the correct formula for your car.

Will my rental car be covered if I do not pickup right when the vehicle is ready?

Insurance companies only pay for the rental car until the repairs on the vehicle are completed.

Does my auto insurance work like my health insurance policy, requiring that I stay within a network of providers or incur additional expense?

No. Unlike health insurance, your auto policy allows you to go to the collision repair center of your choice, typically at no extra cost.

Do I have to take my vehicle to an auto collision repair facility chosen by my insurance company?

Absolutely not. Insurance companies’ direct repair programs or preferred shops are simply an option. You may always go to the collision repair shop of your choice.
